Ten Board Directors were formally appointed on December 10, 2014 to lead the new think tank, The Arab Gulf States Institute in Washington (AGSIW). Ambassador Frank G. Wisner, Foreign Affairs Advisor, Squire Patton Boggs, was nominated and elected as Chairman of the Board of Directors. The Board selected and appointed Ambassador Marcelle M. Wahba as the Institute’s first President effective January 1, 2015. The meeting was held at the Mayflower Hotel in Washington D.C.
