Abdullah F. Alrebh

Abdullah F. Alrebh is an associate professor of sociology of religion and sociological theory at Grand Valley State University. His research focuses on politics, culture, religion, and authority in Saudi Arabia, the Gulf, and the Islamic world. He earned a PhD from Michigan State University, East Lansing in 2014 in addition to a MA in sociology from Michigan State University and a MA in Arabic literature from King Saud University. In 2015, Alrebh was a visiting scholar at Michigan State University. He has published a number of academic articles and book chapters focusing on religion, authority, and education with a primary focus on Middle Eastern countries in general and Saudi Arabia in particular. Alrebh is the  author of Covering the Kingdom: Saudi Arabia in Western Press During the 20th Century (Routledge, 2024).
