Upcoming Event

Israel’s Next Government and the Future of Relations With the Gulf

On November 12, AGSI will host a discussion on Israel's elections and the prospects for Israel's relations with the Gulf.

Date

Nov 12, 2026

Time

10:00am - 11:00am

About the event

Israel’s recent elections will have significant implications for the country’s domestic political direction and its relationships across the Middle East. The composition of the next government, its approach to the Palestinian issue, and its policies toward regional security and diplomacy could shape the prospects for engagement with Israel’s Arab neighbors, particularly the Gulf states.

Will Israel’s next government seek to create opportunities for deeper regional integration? How should a new government approach the future of Gaza, the West Bank, and the broader issue of a two-state solution? Will a new government seek better relations with neighbors, such as Lebanon and Syria? What are the implications of the election results for the future of the Abraham Accords and the prospects for expanding regional economic and security cooperation? How might Saudi Arabia approach relations with Israel in the aftermath of the elections, including the conditions for potential normalization?
