About the event

AGSIW hosted a virtual private roundtable with its leadership and scholars as they looked ahead to assess trends likely to shape the Gulf region during the coming year.

How will the Gulf Arab countries react to the administration of President Joseph R. Biden Jr.? What are the prospects for a return to the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action? What are the long-term impacts of the Abraham Accords? And will the recent Gulf Cooperation Council reconciliation lay the groundwork for further efforts to end regional conflicts? What policy mechanisms are Gulf governments putting in place as they work toward economic recovery and continue their diversification efforts? And how have the crises of 2020 highlighted the importance of addressing human security challenges, such as food and water security and health care?

This program was convened by invitation only. If you are interested in being included in AGSIW’s exclusive events, please contact Raymond Karam, chief program and development officer: raymond.karam@agsiw.org.
