Nazanine Moshiri
Senior Advisor, Climate and Peace, Berghof Foundation
Nazanine Moshiri is the senior advisor for climate and peace at the Berghof Foundation, where she leads efforts to integrate climate considerations across the organization’s conflict transformation and peacebuilding work, including dialogue and mediation initiatives at national and regional levels. Before joining the Berghof Foundation, Moshiri was a senior climate, environment, and conflict analyst at the International Crisis Group. She led research and reporting as well as media contributions on how to best respond to climate and environment-related risks in conflict zones. Moshiri worked for two decades as a journalist, including roles at Reuters, Independent Television News, and Al Jazeera English. She also served as an expert on the United Nations Panel of Experts on Somalia.
