Carole Nakhle

Carole Nakhle is a globally recognized energy expert and thought leader with nearly three decades of experience spanning energy policy, markets, governance, fiscal regimes, and energy security. She is the founder and CEO of Crystol Energy, an independent, multiaward-winning advisory firm internationally recognized for its strategic insights across the energy value chain.

Nakhle has advised major energy companies, governments and parliaments, international organizations, and multilateral institutions, bringing rare breadth and depth to global energy market developments and the forces shaping the energy landscape.

She currently serves as secretary general of the Arab Energy Club, board and audit committee member of the Natural Resource Governance Institute, and lead energy expert at Geopolitical Intelligence Services. Her academic engagement includes lecturing and examining PhD research at leading institutions, including the University of Aberdeen and the Blavatnik School of Government at the University of Oxford.

Nakhle has an extensive publication record, including contributions to International Monetary Fund publications and is the author of Petroleum Taxation: Sharing the Oil Wealth and co-author of Out of the Energy Labyrinth (with Lord David Howell, former United Kingdom energy secretary), both widely cited. She is also a regular media commentator on global energy and geopolitical developments.

A sought-after keynote speaker and moderator, Nakhle is known for combining strategic insight with exceptional facilitation skills. She is the founder of Access for Women in Energy, a freeman of the City of London, a member of the Worshipful Company of Fuellers, and a fellow of the Energy Institute.
