Shurooq Al Qasemi

Shurooq Al Qasemi is a Yemeni human rights advocate with a background in international law and journalism. She previously served as a visiting professional at the Office of the Prosecutor at the International Criminal Court in The Hague. She studied international and European law with a focus on international criminal justice and completed a minor in the cultural memory of war and conflict. With experience in television reporting and editorial work on Yemen’s conflict, she offers grounded insight into political narratives, media strategies, and public responses shaped by the war. Her work focuses on justice, accountability, and how Yemenis engage with power and representation in times of crisis.
