Muhammad Khudadad Chattha

Senior Economist, World Bank

Muhammad Khudadad Chattha is a senior economist at the World Bank and the lead author of the Gulf Economic Update, the World Bank’s biannual report that analyzes key economic developments and policy trends across the six Gulf Cooperation Council countries. Khudadad is part of the World Bank’s GCC team based in Riyadh, where he plays a key role in shaping economic policy dialogue and delivering analytical work across the region. Earlier, he worked at the World Bank’s Jakarta office as a fiscal economist for Indonesia, leading the World Bank’s engagement on revenue mobilization and fiscal policy. Khudadad holds a PhD from the University of Oxford and a master’s in public administration in international development from Harvard University. He also has several years of experience as a civil servant in Pakistan with the Federal Board of Revenue.
