
Laith Alajlouni

Laith Alajlouni is a research associate at the International Institute for Strategic Studies Middle East office in Manama, Bahrain. With a background as a political economist, his research focuses on issues of geoeconomics and strategy in the Middle East.
Prior to joining IISS, Alajlouni worked as an economist and social research consultant at various institutions, including the World Bank and Jordan Strategy Forum.
His work has been published by numerous international institutions, including the Middle East Institute in Washington, DC, Institute for International Political Studies, Atlantic Council, and London School of Economics Middle East Centre. He has also worked as an independent consultant for institutions in Jordan and elsewhere.
Alajlouni holds a master’s in political science from the Central European University in Vienna as well as a master’s in business administration from the University of Jordan.
