Gihan Elhadidy

Gihan Elhadidy is an Egyptian diplomat. She was the cultural officer at the Embassy of Egypt in Washington, DC (2018-22) and oversaw the climate change portfolio in the lead up to COP27 (2021-22). In 2017, she was the director of the first Egyptian Global Youth Forum held in Sharm el Sheikh. She previously taught international relations at Cairo University (2007-12) and holds an MA in international relations from Cairo University and an MA in development and governance from Duisburg Essen University in Germany.
