About the event

On July 20, AGSIW and the Lebanese American University New York Academic Center co-hosted a workshop considering the impact of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action on the triangular relationship among the United States, Gulf Arab countries, and Islamic Republic of Iran. Planned around the fifth anniversary of the implementation of the JCPOA, speakers and participants evaluated where relations are now and where they might be headed, to understand what happened, what may happen, and what policy suggestions could help avoid the most undesirable outcomes. AGSIW and LAU will draw on these conversations and other research as part of a forthcoming paper evaluating the legacy and future impact of the JCPOA.
