AGSIW hosted a panel discussion examining the Trump administration’s “maximum pressure” strategy against Iran. Ali Alfoneh, Dina Esfandiary, and Kirsten Fontenrose discussed the status of U.S.-Iranian relations, what adjustments are required for this strategy to become effective, the U.S. government’s core objectives and parameters for success, and several potential consequences of continued tensions. Senior Resident Scholar Hussein Ibish moderated the discussion.
