Caryle Murphy

Caryle Murphy, as a former long-time reporter for the Washington Post, has twice served as the paper’s foreign correspondent, both in South Africa and the Middle East, where her coverage of Iraq’s invasion of Kuwait was awarded a Pulitzer Prize in 1991. After leaving the Post, she worked as an independent journalist in Riyadh for three years. She is the author of two books: Passion for Islam (2002) and A Kingdom’s Future: Saudi Arabia Through the Eyes of Its Twentysomethings (2013).
