
Ambassador Claire Le Flécher
Former French ambassador to Kuwait
Ambassador Claire Le Flécher is a French diplomat who has held various senior positions within the French government and the Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs. On August 26, 2021, she was appointed ambassador of France to Kuwait, where she served until August 2024. Le Flécher has received prestigious training, including at the École nationale d’Administration (Marie Curie class), the École des langues orientales (INALCO) (literal Arabic), as well as Sciences Po Paris and the University of Paris X (political science, history, and philosophy). Her career began as a parliamentary advisor in the office of Secretary of State for the Budget Florence Parly from 2001-02. In 2014, Le Flécher joined the Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs, where she served as deputy assistant director for Russia and Eastern Europe from 2014-17. She was subsequently appointed first counselor at the French Embassy in Armenia in Yerevan, where she served from 2017-21.
