Anushka Bose

Anushka Bose is a PhD candidate in international relations at American University’s School of International Service in Washington. Her research examines high-skilled labor markets and expatriate mobility in the Gulf Cooperation Council states as well as investment migration programs worldwide. She is also interested in Gulf ambitions to build global talent hubs for artificial intelligence and emerging technologies and growing investments in arts, sports, and tourism as part of the region’s economic diversification. She has presented her research at the Gulf Research Meeting at the University of Cambridge and at Georgetown University in Qatar.
Bose holds an MPhil in international relations from American University’s School of International Service, an MA in international security from the University of Denver’s Josef Korbel School of International Studies, and a BA in political science from Purdue University.
She grew up in the Saudi Aramco compound in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia, where her family lived for 15 years.
