AGSIW was pleased to host a conversation with Bernard Haykel, director of the Institute for Transregional Study of the Contemporary Middle East, North Africa and Central Asia at Princeton University and a member of the board of directors of AGSIW.

The discussion was moderated by Ambassador Marcelle M. Wahba, AGSIW president, and previewed Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman’s upcoming visit to the United States, and the issues most likely to be at the top of his agenda for talks with senior officials in Washington. Haykel also offered his perspective on the momentous social and political changes under way in Saudi Arabia.
