Albert Stromquist

Albert Stromquist is a principal of Lanström Advisors, headquartered in Lingshui County, China. He previously held an executive post with Abu Dhabi’s Mubadala wealth fund and played a key role in building Mubadala’s investments in oil and natural gas, renewable energy, and water resources. Stromquist was responsible for planning and developing Mubadala’s oil and gas portfolio, while also engaging in the creation of strategic alliances and joint ventures with leading multinational energy and defense industry companies in the Middle East, North Africa, and Asia. Stromquist joined Mubadala in 2004 with 30 years of experience in the international oil and gas business, working with leading brands such as Amoco, Amerada Hess, Total, and Enron Corp. He was actively involved in the inception and successful creation of the transnational Dolphin Energy gas project, which now ranks among Mubadala’s largest and most valuable assets.
His specialties include oil and gas, new business development, corporate governance, strategic planning, portfolio management, business integration, and national economic development. He holds a Master of Science in geology from the University of Massachusetts.
