Roundtable With Lise Grande, the United Nations Resident Coordinator for Yemen

On May 4, AGSIW hosted a private virtual roundtable with Lise Grande, the United Nations resident coordinator for Yemen.

Date

May 4, 2020

About the event

As part of AGSIW’s continuing coverage of Yemen, AGSIW hosted a private virtual roundtable with Lise Grande, the United Nations resident coordinator for Yemen. Grande provided an on-the-ground perspective on efforts to deliver food, medicine, and other humanitarian assistance to an undernourished and displaced population. She offered an update on the coronavirus in Yemen and – following the suspension of U.S. support for the World Health Organization during a management review – how the country’s beleaguered public health system will address an anticipated spike in infections.
