A Pivotal Visit: Takeaways From Mohammed bin Salman’s Visit to Washington

On December 4, AGSI will host a panel on the outcomes of Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman's visit to the United States.

Date

Dec 4, 2025

Time

10:00am - 11:30am

About the event

Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman visited the White House November 18 for a warm and friendly meeting with President Donald J. Trump that focused on security, defense, and economic deals. The visit included a formal dinner and discussions that resulted in announcements of a U.S.-Saudi Strategic Defense Agreement, a sale of F-35 fighter jets, a civilian nuclear agreement, and significant Saudi investment pledges in the United States. What were the most significant outcomes of the visit across security cooperation, energy coordination, economic, and technological partnerships? What does the visit signal about the trajectory of bilateral ties? What are areas of emerging alignment or friction? And how will both countries leverage the meeting to navigate evolving geopolitical challenges?
