MESA: Kristin Smith Diwan presented a paper on Gulf Futurism in the visual arts on the panel “Arab Gulf Futurism: Mapping the Terrain” at the 59th annual meeting of the Middle East Studies Association in Washington, DC. She also chaired the roundtable “Art in Academia: Integrating the Study of Art into Middle East Studies.”
