Trump, Syria’s relations with Gulf countries, and broader diplomatic issues. He also met with Syrian businessmen to discuss the Syrian economy and the need for the United States to repeal Caesar Syria Civilian Protection Act sanctions, given outside investors have not been sufficiently reassured by temporary U.S. waivers of the sanctions.
